* Only 3.52 M33-3 or higher CFW [Phat PSP], And 3.60 m33 or higher CFW [Slim PSP] (Only v1 and v2 motherboard users) can use this. Offical Sony FirmWares And PSP3000 and PSP2000 v3 motherboards shouldn't try it.
* Copy the "UPDATE" folder into ms://PSP/GAME/
* Copy the 550.PBP into the root folder of your PSP
* Exit USB Mode then Run the updater.
* Select "Flash Install CFW 5.50 GEN-D". Update starts.. please wait. After the update press X and the system will restart on it's own.
* Check your system information, it should be 5.50 GEN-D.
* Then you can erase "UPDATE" folder and the 550.PBP, that won’t be needed anymore.

Obscure The Aftermath USA Full CSO 811Mb


When the original Obscure hit retail shelves in 2005, it introduced gamers to a fairly new take on the survival-horror subgenre with fully cooperative play. Although the game was met with mixed reviews, the co-op theme certainly warranted praise and was appropriately carried over to the sequel, Obscure: The Aftermath. Aftermath arrived on several consoles early last year and I was fairly pleased with certain parts of the experience. The mix of co-op play and survival-horror was still an enjoyable concept and some of the atmospheric environments were executed wonderfully. The music was the icing on the cake, as the startling beautiful, unmistakably chilling soundtrack seemed almost too good to be true for a "budget level" game.

I grew up in the '80s and owned more than a hundred G.I. Joes. I was obsessed for the better part of my childhood with the action figures. Needless to say, I watched the show as if it held the secrets to the universe. So when G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra feature film was announced, naturally I vomited on myself. Nothing good can come from dredging up '80s nostalgia. What's next, bringing back Molly Ringwald's awkward dance moves from The Breakfast Club? What was worse, I knew that a summer feature meant new toys (that were lesser versions of my '80s collection), some form of fast food joint tie-in, and a new videogame. Cartoon-to-movie translations don't have a great track record for quality, but attempts at cartoon-to-movie-to-game translations fare even worse.

Once October 6 makes its way onto your calendar there will be three basketball games hitting store shelves; two of which are coming to the PSP. There's EA Sports' NBA Live 10 which is also coming to consoles and iPhone, NBA 2K10 which is only on consoles and there's Sony's NBA 10: The Inside coming exclusively to the PSP. It packs some great portable-friendly game modes to go along with the standard stable of features that basketball diehards should enjoy. I recently got my hands on a preview build of the game and got a taste for the many different flavors of basketball found on the UMD.

The first thing that you should know about NBA 10: The Inside on PSP is that there have been no changes to the core gameplay mechanics from last year's version. That means that the shooting meter makes its return, you'll be pulling off special dribbling moves with the square and triangle buttons and icon passing is still assigned to the left trigger. Where you will see some changes is in the modes and features, most of which have been specifically tailored to a portable gaming experience.

After you explain why a thinking machine scares our Terminator-loving generation, drop the news that Naruto Shippuden: Legends: Akatsuki Rising is coming to the portable platform this year.

Namco Bandai announced today that VIZ Media is working on the fighter based on the Naruto Shippuden series, which stars an older, wiser Naruto, and will give players control of 10 ninjas including Akatsuki. Not many specifics were available, but you'll guide these ninjas through the events of the animated series this fall. Naruto and his pals go after the fifth Kazekage, Gaara, and try to keep a demon sealed inside that Kazekage.

Again, all this goodness is coming to your self-aware portable this fall. Until we get more, let the screens below scratch your itch, but be sure you keep checking back to see when we finally get out hands on Naruto Shippuden: Legends: Akatsuki.

Shin Megami Tensei Persona USA Full CSO 531Mb


The game that started it all on the original PSX/PSOne/PlayStation 1/PlayStation Home Enertainment Systsem is now being remade for the PlayStation Portable. That’s probably the most PlayStation has been used in one sentence on this site. Anyway, Atlus is scheduling the game for a fall release. The first game in the series was considered gold by many. I nearly had a seizure with all those corridors and confusing maps, though. Seriously, if a school had that many confusing hallways no one would ever get to class on time…it would just be a bunch of kids crying in the hallway because they wouldn’t be able to find their way out. Nevertheless, the whole thing is being revamped for the PSP to help gamers experience the original SMT: Persona with greater affability. The game is being localized for an even more immersive experience, and new content is readily being added to further give gamers more interactivity and gameplay. So even long-time fans of the series will have something new to play with Shin Megami Tensei: Persona on the PSP. The game is due out this fall. Need For Speed Shift Full CSO 983Mb


Chris Roper recently reviewed Need for Speed Shift on the PlayStation 3 and loved it. Of course, no multi-console EA release is complete without a PlayStation Portable version of the title, so Need for Speed Shift is also now available on Sony's handheld. Aside from the name, about the only thing in common between the console and portable games is the fact that they both feature cars.

Don't get me wrong - I didn't come into this looking for a watered-down version of Slightly Mad Studios' driving tour-de-force, but it's definitely worth noting that this isn't a simulation racer in any way, shape or form. Unfortunately, that still doesn't mean it's really all that great...

Ruka has released a new version of NesterJ, the NES emulator for PSP. Ruka is testing out the Wi-Fi battle function in this test release. Your feedback is needed.

About Nester J Wi-Fi Mode

Limitations
The game will stop if too many communication errors are encountered. (This is not a hang-up, but the refresh of the screen is stopped.)
To recover from this problem, just press the Home button to exit.
A patched version will be released when the problem is addressed.

Minor Problems
Sound processing is changed. Some changes in sound are present.
UI of the WiFi Network is not very friendly.
Cannot select player (just thought so, haven't tried)
When WiFi Network Play starts, you will not be able to return to local play. The only way to fix is to exit NesterJ and start again.
Communication timing is not satisfactory yet. (still in adjustment)
You can still use functions that should not be used in WiFi mode, such as State Load and ROM selection.

How to use:
Change the network settings in PSP to AdHoc.
Launch NesterJ and load the ROM you want to play with.
Select Wifi Network Play (Adhoc) from the menu. (Remember to turn on the WLan switch on the left side of the PSP)
Wait a second and you will see a message saying sceNetInit() done. displayed. (From now on this PSP is in standby mode for WiFi play)
Set another PSP into the standby mode, and it will display the MAC address and the ROM image name on the first PSP.
2P Send Connection Request

Press O button to send a connection request.
1P Accept Connection Request

Press O button to accept connection requests from other PSPs.
After a series of communication tests, the emulation will start. (the emulator can hang up during the tests)
* Of course you will need some NES ROMs to run in the emulator. You should also keep all the settings from the 2 PSP consistent to prevent potential hang-ups.

Light Mp3 Beta2 for PSP2000 (slim)


Over 3 months after the original beta release, LightMP3 has gotten a new tuneup, which includes support for 4.01m33, the latest (and best) custom firmware out on the block at the moment.

If you’ve never heard or used LightMP3, consider it. It’s VERY nifty, and a very worthy upgrade over the default "player" built in to the PSP. Heck, it’s an upgrade over any shell’s MP3 players. Full of features, looks, and options, it’s easily one of the most powerful tools for playing MP3s, OGGs, ATRAC3+, and FLAC files. Perhaps best of all is that it uses VERY little power, so this thing will last you on end if you use it for music.
